Rosie and I had been talking now for about 20 minutes. We talked about everything. The school she's going to, my job at the shop. Kelly and the rest of the guys. It was alright, but it wasn't the same. I really missed my cousin.
"So hows the old 'hood?" I asked. Rosie laughed before answering.
"It's alright. After being gone for more than a year, the food tastes so much better. You would not believe!" We shared a laugh. "The food still the same down there?" She asked me.
"Yeah. Not spicy enough, and the pizza not greasy enough. But I love it down here. I don't have to wear a coat. Oh, how's the weather? I laughed, knowing it was snowing outside for her.
"You ain't funny Lisha! You know it's gonna be a blizzard! I had to put on three pairs of socks and two pairs of pants just to go and get my bags from the car this morning!" We both laughed again.
"I'm just kidding girl! I know what the weathers like up the there. I got the local news channel."
I smiled and laughed a little bit before Carnell got up and walked out the living room and towards the back room. "What did you and Kelly talk about?" I asked, curious of their conversation.
"I don't think your old enough to know that." I could hear her smiling through the phone. It was an awkward feeling. Good, but awkward, she was opening up again, and I helped. I felt good about myself because I did something with out trying. Nobody lets me do anything because I'm pregnant. So YAY ME!
"It's like that now, Rosie?" I asked with a slight laugh. "I think I'm old enough to know. I'm 18, I got my own place, a job and I'm about to have a baby. I think that qualifies me as 'old enough'. Don't you?" I questioned.
"All of that don't necessarily qualify you as old enough. All though you prove a good point it make you grown. Their are alot of fast assed girls running around having babies thinking it's cute. How do I know that's not your motive?" I was shortly dumb founded. She did bring up a good point, but of course I had to say something back. Being black, Jamaican and Puerto Rican and coming from the south Bronx, I found it necessary.
"That was not my motive. I didn't get pregnant on purpose. That was point of the condom. On the one hand I don't even like kids, I didn't think I was gonna even have them. And on the other hand, I didn't get like this by myself so don't pin it all on me. Besides I just wanted to know what the conversation was about. If you don't wanna tell me all you had to was say so." I thought I brought my point across very clearly. We sat in silence for a while.
Carnell came from the back only in his boxers. His body was so muscular. I almost dropped the phone, he looked so good. I put my feet up on the couch, which was kind of difficult because Carnell's big head baby-girl was in the way. But I did it and was proud of myself, I had been trying to figure out how to do it for the last week or so. He came and laid on the couch between my legs. He started kissing my neck.
"Tell your cousin you'll call her back." He whispered in my ear, then continued to kiss on me.
"Come on. You see I'm on the phone." I pleaded with him. He just continued, not paying any attention to what I had to say.
"What's going on?" Rosie asked, with a concerned voice. A slight moan escaped my lips before I said anything. "Oh, nevermind. She said with a little laugh.
"Rosie? Girl I'm gonna call you back later." He drew his name on my neck with his tongue. I closed my eyes real tight. "Way later." I turned off the phone and dropped it on the floor. I hope no one else has to call me, that will be the call that wont get answered.

That whore! She just hung up on me! I would call her back, but I know what she's about to do and I ain't tryna get cussed at. I got up and went into the bathroom to take a shower. I was gonna go and meet my friend Latrell at the mall. I hadn't seen him since before I left and I wanted to hang out with him.

After my shower, I made sure that I dried off really well and I blow dried my hair until I was sure that it wasn't damp. It was cold out side and I didn't want to risk getting sick. I straightened my hair until it was practically pin thin, then went to go and get dressed.
I grabbed my phone, keys and wallet and kissed my mom as I went out the door. I walked to the subway station as the bitter cold nipped at my nose cheeks. I pulled my hood over my head as the wind blew and I went down the stairs to wait for the subway. It was cold down here too. Damn I miss Atlanta. They only gotta wear sweatshirts this time of year. I watched the crowd of people until the subway car pulled up in front of me. I got on and it was PACKED!
I guess for a good reason. Today is Friday. Everybody is going shopping somewhere tonight. But I guess I have no reason to worry about what all these people are doing. They could give a shit less about what the hell I'm doing. I was feeling around in my pockets when I found my iPod. I was kinda happy to find it too. Listening to these people talk is getting annoying. I've gotten used to Kelly's country ass grammar. I scrolled the menu and just played a random song.
Where I Wanna Be by Donell Jones came through my head phones. I put the song on repeat. I thought this song described what I was feeling about Kelly now. I questioned why I left in such a hurry from Atlanta. Did I leave for him, or for me? I loved Kelly, I still do. But if I loved him why did I leave like that? Why did we suddenly stop talking and where did we suddenly fall apart? I looked out the sub way window and saw that I missed my stop. I hadn't noticed I was that deep into my thoughts. I pulled the cord that signaled the subway driver that someone, such as myself, wanted to get off at the next stop. Moments later the subway stopped and the rusty, tagged, silver doors opened up. I walked off the and waited on the opposite side for the other subway to come so I could get to the mall.

my mom made go to the doctor and tell her that i was depressed . but i'm not i'm a fairly happy person
. and that i was crazy ... although that's true i didn't want the doctor to know ..

lmao no i'm not depressed . i'm a happy person . not 24/7 happy where ii's creepy but i'm happy most of the time . and i am a little crazy . but that ain't the doc's business to know that . i ain't pulled no knife on her .
and my mom took me to the doctor cause she got some screws loose her damn self . lol

After I got out the shower I dried off an got dressed to go get Janice. After I was done I grabbed T.T. and headed over to Janice's house.

After I was done getting ready for Patrick to come and get me I went downstairs and saw my dad sitting on the couch. He had a beer in his hand and was watching re-runs of New York Undercover. I always thought it was funny how him and that Spanish cop had the same name and looked just alike.
"¿Hey Papá, qué estás haciendo?" (What are you doing?) I said walking past him and sitting on the couch. He looked up at me and then he dropped his head. I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion. "Alright. I can come back at another time." I got up and walked passed him to go to the kitchen. He grabbed my wrist and gripped it.
"¿Adónde vas?" (Where are you going?) I know he was drunk, but he didn't have to grab me. I tried to snatch my arm back but his grip grew tighter around my wrist. "¿Adónde vas?" He asked with anger in his voice. He sat all the way up and looked me straight in the eye, which made me turn away.
"With Patrick." I said softly.
"No. Your not going with him. I forbid it." He said letting go of my wrist. I looked at him like he had lost his damn mind.
"And why can't I go?" I asked with an attitude. I placed my hand on my hip awaiting his answer.
"Because. I said so. For all I know your gonna end up like your sister!" He yelled at me.
"I'm grown I can do what I want! I don't need your permission for anything!" I retaliated. His face turned a light shade of pink. I could tell he was getting mad.
"As long as you live under my roof you'll follow my rules!" He screamed.
"And as long as I'm grown I'll make my own damn rules! I'm gonna see him and you can't stop me." I huffed. I walked away mad. I swear I could feel steam coming out of my ears.
"Your not gonna see him!" He yelled behind me. I just rolled my eyes as I walked in to the kitchen. I saw my brother Bryan rummaging through the cabinets.
"What are you looking for Bry?" I asked. He was making alot of noise and it was starting to give me a headache since I was already mad. I didn't want to take my anger out on the wrong person.
"The eggbeater." He said, still looking through the cabinets. I was confused. What did he need an egg beater for?
"In the cabinet by the sink." I said, sitting down. "What do you need an eggbeater for?" I asked. He got the eggbeater and turned it on and stuck it a bowl before replying.
"I'm making a cake." He said. He looked inside the bowl and smiled. I was highly confused. I smiled and laughed a little.
"Who is it for?" I asked. He blushed a little bit and smiled really hard.
"Trisha." He gushed. His whole face turned a shade of pink.
"Oooooh!" I shrieked, "Are you sure the two of you are only friends?" I asked. He smiled.
"Yeah. She wanted a cake though. I wanted to make it for her." I smiled. My brother is so sweet.

"The eggbeater." He said, still looking through the cabinets. I was confused. What did he need an egg beater for?
"In the cabinet by the sink." I said, sitting down. "What do you need an eggbeater for?" I asked. He got the eggbeater and turned it on and stuck it a bowl before replying.
"I'm making a cake." He said. He looked inside the bowl and smiled. I was highly confused. I smiled and laughed a little.
"Who is it for?" I asked. He blushed a little bit and smiled really hard.
"Trisha." He gushed. His whole face turned a shade of pink.
"Oooooh!" I shrieked, "Are you sure the two of you are only friends?" I asked. He smiled.
"Yeah. She wanted a cake though. I wanted to make it for her." I smiled. My brother is so sweet.
